Federal agents on Tuesday raided six locations associated with Aaron Sandusky on suspicion that he has been illegally selling marijuana to the general public. The Drug Enforcement Administration searched six locations connected to Sandusky - the president of medical marijuana collectives known as G3 Holistic in Colton, Upland and Moreno Valley - and the group's chief financial officer, John Nuckolls.
Sandusky has run the collectives openly, saying that California law allows the use of marijuana when recommended by a doctor.
But that's not all that was going on, Special Agent Patrick Kelly said in a 27-page search warrant.
"Based on my investigation, I believe that the G3 stores operate to make a profit and attempts to disguise the breadth of their criminal activity by claiming that they cater exclusively to persons suffering from medical illnesses, when in fact persons without any medical condition can purchase marijuana at these retail establishments," he said in the warrant.
Sandusky could not be immediately reached Tuesday.
